What are Affirmations?

20 Jun

Affirmations are a subconscious phenomenon wherein there is release of positive energy and elimination of negative thoughts and energy. When Edmund Hillary began his expedition to Mount Everest, he had so many doubts about his success. So many people had died before him trying to scale Mount Everest. I believe it was the power of affirmation which Edmund Hillary experimented on himself and succeeded. It is the conquest of positive thoughts over negative thoughts. Edmund Hillary believed in himself, his strength and he pushed ahead with his expedition. Affirmation is a deliberate and conscious effort to assert what you think to be true.

When Winston Churchill became Prime Minister in the darkest period of the country, the entire nation was in despair. But Winston Churchill came with a very positive mindset and his reiteration of his faith in himself and the nation changed the mindset of the country and helped England win the war against Hitler’s Germany. Using powerful positive thinking techniques, visualizations and positive affirmations, it is possible to achieve whatever you want. Winston Churchill was a master of this technique which brought him success. This is done by eliminating the mental blocks that are sabotaging your spirit. Churchill succeeded because he removed the mental blocks of his countryman and fuelled the youth with positive energies. This is like telling you that you create what you think about. You start making conscious positive thoughts and you actually become more aware of the negative thoughts that are always threatening to take over. Make your sub-conscious thoughts conscious; you being in conscious control of your thoughts.

I strongly believe that Affirmations or giving positive suggestion to oneself or to any other person is a really powerful technique to develop personal power and gain a competitive edge in business, professional and personal life. It will transform your life, your health and renew the joy and passion for life. Imagine waking up each morning, bursting with excitement, energy and joy for the new day!

Consider the following affirmation statements:

"I am special and deserve love"

"Everyone is special and deserves love and respect"

"Everyday, in every way, I am getting better and better"

"Today, I will use 100% of my mind's capcity"

Consider saying these statements everyday in the morning. Don't you think they will have a massive postive impact on your entire day?
